Apple’s iPhone will be released later today at 9:00 pm Indian Standard Time, which would be 10:30 pm for people watching from India.

The event’s called Gather Round, and rumours suggest that this special event will see most of the Apple product lines being revitalized.

Here is everything you need to know about the blockbuster event which is going to be held today, along with rumoured prices, specs and the introduction of new devices.

Everybody is keeping their hawk eye on Apple today as the United States of America technology firm is about to revel its new range of iPhone in their special event today.

This is expected to be another huge announcement with a host of devices likely to be unveiled at the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino.

Along with the iPhone upgrades, there could be plenty of surprises.

Hence if you are a big fan of the apple brand here is everything you need to know what could be revealed at Apple’s big September Gather Round event.

Apple is hosting this year’s iPhone event at the iconic Steve Jobs Theatre which sits in the grounds of its Apple Park HQ in Cupertino.

Invites were sent out to media late last month with the words “Gather round“.

Proceedings will get underway at 10:00 am local time with those in the UK able to watch from 6:00 pm BST and 9:00 pm Indian Standard Time.

How can you watch the event?

Apple will be live streaming its iPhone event online via its website.

You can watch things from 10:30 pm onwards today. Those with an Apple TV can also tune in on the big screen via the Apple events app installed on the streaming device.

How can I get real-time updates from the event?

In case you don’t have the time to sit through the event but still want all the updates from tonight, just make sure you have a Twitter account, then you head to Apple’s official page, and you’d see this tweet on the account. Like the tweet, and Apple will send you notifications on when the event begins and about everything that is launched.

What phones will be announced?

There’s no official word on what Apple will reveal today but the rumors and leaks drops a pretty good picture of what’s to come.

We are expecting the United States technology firm to announce three new devices including a larger 6.5-inch Xs Plus model and a device that will have less impressive specs but arrive at a cheaper price.

Apple is also likely to refresh its award-winning iPhone X with improved performance, better camera and faster charging all expected.

New colours could also be revealed including dark red and blue.

How much will these iphones cost?

The leaks hint that the iPhone XS will be priced at $1079, which roughly translates to around Rs 78,000. The iPhone XS Plus with 6.5-inch display will be priced at $1225, which is around Rs 88,000, and the 6.1-inch iPhone aka the iPhone XC could come with a price tag of $860, which is around Rs 62,000.

But these are the direct conversion of dollar prices into rupees and we know that Apple prices for the iPhone in India don’t follow this pattern. Apple tends to peg the value of dollar compared to India significantly higher than the prevailing market rate to avoid future shock to its margins. For example, when dollar was around Rs 60 in value, Apple was pegging it as high as Rs 90.

Given that rupee is very weak right now, it wouldn’t be surprising if the iPhone XS Plus debuts in India at a price of little over Rs 1 lakh. The iPhone XS, meanwhile, could be around Rs 80,000 and in the case of the iPhone XC Apple may make an exception and become a bit aggressive, pricing it between Rs 50,000 to Rs 60,000.

What else will be revealed?

If rumours are correct, we may get to see a new Apple Watch unveiled today which may include a bigger screen, more power, extra battery life and improved fitness tracking.

Alongside this wearable could be the launch of a new iPad Pro model with this refreshed tablet offering one of the biggest upgrades in years.

It’s thought Apple could consider ditching the home button on this device with the screen then able to feature much smaller bezels.

The new iPad could also be faster and have improved battery life.

One final thing that could make an appearance at Apple’s event is the Air Power charging mat.

This wireless battery booster was first unveiled last year but Apple has since stayed silent about an official launch.
