Police believe an 18-year-old Nevada woman may have been abducted in her own car.
“Some monster picks them up, you don’t know what happened, you don’t know where they are, no one noticed her disappearing,” said her mother, Diana Irene.
Naomi Irene was last seen waiting for a shuttle bus to pick her up for work at a Walmart parking lot in Fernley, near Renault, at 5 a.m. Saturday.
As he did not return home, his family informed the police.
“They confirmed she missed the Saturday and Sunday shifts, which is very unusual,” Irene said. “My daughter is very reliable.”
The local sheriff’s office says a man captured in the surveillance video may have been involved in Irian’s disappearance.
They say the surveillance video was not released – showing a man walking from a nearby homeless camp and lurking around vehicles.
“I knew it was clear, it seemed like a clear kidnapping to me,” said his brother, Casey Wally.
Investigators said the video shows the woman doing something to move from the driver’s side to the passenger side of her car before the suspect left with her on Thursday afternoon.
“She’s not a fighter, that’s the guy who pushed her into the car, she’s frozen. She did nothing. She was frozen,” her brother told detectives and the sheriff’s side. “We can clarify very quickly, and the detective, if I am wrong, correct me. We did not say this person was homeless. He came from that direction. Like, but that’s enough. This person said or did something to her to move Naomi from the driver’s side to the passenger’s side. . “
On Tuesday, police found Irene’s car abandoned in a nearby industrial park. Evidence from detectives in the car suggests that her disappearance was the result of a crime, but they did not specify what they found.
Investigators also believe the truck driver may have been directly involved in Irian’s disappearance.
With so many questions, Irian’s family says they worry more every day.
“We can’t miss what’s really important,” Valley said. “That’s what Naomi’s life and time are beating for. We don’t have time.”
Her brother said Naomi moved to Burnley in August 2021. Irene’s father, Herv, lives with Irene’s mother in South Africa. He spoke during a press conference on Thursday, urging the community to report anything suspicious.
“We ask that you contact the authorities if you have any information,” his father said.
Irene’s family said they could not identify the masked man in the pictures. The sheriff’s office said they were working to get better pictures of who they were looking for.
Described as Irian 511 with dyed black hair and green eyes. There is also brown in one eye.
