Central Trade Unions have called two days national wide strike on 8-9 January against central government’s policies which are alleged to repress employees and workers.  These central government policies are alleged anti-people policies.

Central Trade Unions are 10 in numbers:- TUCC, LPF, AITUC, HMS, AICCTU, UTUC, NTUC,  CITU, AIUTUC, and SEWA.

General Secretary of CITU, Tapan Sen said that insurance and bank employees, dock and port workers, public sector employees, and unorganized sector are going to support this nationwide protest due to acute unemployment, price rise, and economic crisis.

CITU criticized GOI’s move for Trade Union Act 1926 amendment in name of transparency and stopping duplicity.

General Secretary of CITU, Tapan Sen said that Trade Union Amendment Bill 2018, will impose a new age of slavery on employees and repudiate trade union rights completely.

Not only destitution, an uncertainty of work, distress but also repressive environment has spread under Modi Government as per Tapan Sen.

CITU criticized the central government’s well-buzzed policy “Make in India” and said this government is trying to kill the public sector jobs and it is in favor of the private sector environment.

Tapan Sen gave an example of Rafale deal, he said there was no role of the state-owned company especially HAL. The government showed this kind of sign in another defense deals for fighter aircraft F-16 he added.

Farmers on strike:

Private sector Bank, Karur Vyasa announced if the strike will place at the saved date, it’s employees will take part in it.
