United Airlines employees formed a credit union on October 26, 1935. United Airlines Employees’ Credit Union (UAECU) was the original name of the credit union when it was created, but Alliant Credit Union took its place in 2003. Savings accounts, checking accounts, certificates, individual retirement accounts (IRAs), consumer loans, and Visa credit cards are all available through Alliant Credit Union. $5 is the minimum deposit required to open a savings account with Alliant Credit Union. Regular Savings, Supplemental Savings, Custodial Savings, and Kidz Klub are the four types of savings accounts available to minors under the age of twelve. A daily average balance of $100 or more is required to receive monthly dividends from the savings account.
The first set of checks from Alliant is free when you opt out of paper statements and have at least one monthly electronic deposit. Investment and insurance services are also available through Alliant. Health Savings Accounts were offered by Alliant until 2017 when the accounts were sold to Health Equity.
