On the Day 2 of Asian Games 2018, Deepak Kumar helped India to get their 3rd medal in Asian Games.
India Started off a great start as on the day 2 of Asian Games 2018m, Deepak Kumar won a silver medal with a score of 247.7. While Yang Horan got his hands on Gold with an aggregate score of 249.1. And also the bronze was earned by Taipei’s Lu Shaochuan with the score of 226.8 in 24 final shots.
Deepak Kumar was not in the race of medals until the 18th shot that he made with a perfect score of 10.9, then earned his maiden Asian Games medal with 247.7.
Ravi Kumar alongside Apurvi Chandela won Bronze
Ravi Kumar won a bronze alongside Apurvi Chandela in the mixed team on Sunday, but, Apurvi Chandela was unlucky this time to miss out on a medal. He was eliminated after the 20th shot that he made scoring 205.2.
Wrestler Bajrang Punia opened India’s Gold Medal Account
Indian wrestler Bajrang Punia Snatched spotlight while fading superstar Sushil Kumar
Bajrang gave India the first gold medal of the 18th Asian Games in Jakarta. Bajrang won his gold in the 65Kg category but on the other side, Legendary Sushil Kumar lost his last chance to add an Asian Gold to his collection of medals after losing his qualifiers in the 74Kg category.
Bajrang started off with a convincing lead of 6-0 in the first period. Both wrestlers endured a tough competition as Daichi the score to 6-4 in the second period but, in the end, Bajrang took himself to be victorious.
