Tata Power, India’s largest incorporated power company is a forerunner in the application of innovation and technology for value-added benefits to its customers. In line with this commitment, Tata Power has amalgamated with Vodafone, to simplify bill payments procedure for its consumers through the Vodafone M-Pesa e-wallet.
The facility will allow instant and easy cash payment of power supply bills by Tata Power consumers. There are more than 150 Vodafone Mini Stores across Mumbai, the facility initiated by Tata power will be available at all stores.
The move was made to support Government’s initiative of Digital India. The collaboration will allow consumers to make easy transaction and bill payment without much hassle. They can avail the facility from the comfort of their home/office/and even on-the-go, this will in term encourage and increase the use of digital payment.
Consumers can also make payment through the e-wallet using feature (non-smart) phones. The consumer of Tata Power can also use the facilities at any Vodafone Mini Stores across Mumbai to make the payment of the power bill in cash, they should carry their bill in order to do so.
