Most used messaging service WhatsApp on Tuesday declared to launch a new feature within the app that will allow users to make voice and video calls in a group.
At the Facebook’s F8 developer conference, the Facebook-owned company made an announcement to launch this four-way feature.
As per the reports collected from its blog, WhatsApp stated that its users spent over 2 billion minutes over calls every day. This group calling feature will allow four people to make calls simultaneously anytime, anywhere they want.

Furthermore, users can easily connect other people to voice or video call by pressing the new “add participants’ button available at the top right corner of the screen.
In the blog, WhatsApp stated that –
“Group calls are always end-to-end encrypted, and we’ve designed calling to work reliably around the world in different network conditions. The feature is currently rolling out on the iPhone and Android versions of our app.”
Instagram has launched the video calling feature in the month of July this year which allow users to do a four-way group video chat, quite an attraction these days.
Back in 2014, WhatsApp had launched the voice call feature while the video calling feature was added in 2016. Moreover, Facebook’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg had stated that there are 1.5 billion users of this messaging service Whatsapp who send 60 billion messages per day.
