Sirin Labs has finally launched the world’s first block chain smartphone. The device is called Finney and will cost $999 initially. The device comes with a dual screen, the second screen is only meant for cryptocurrency transactions.
If the user enables the slider setting, it opens the Finney’s cold storage wallet, which supports all the major cryptocurrencies across the world.
The smartphone will be enabling cryptocurrency transfer safer with the help of its embedded Token Conversion Service (TSC), this system will convert SRN coins into the token which will be used for the purchase, this process will save lots of time which are otherwise consumed in processing.
Beside the phone being equipped with the crypto transaction, Finney provides some great features as well. Hardware with Snapdragon 845 processor, 6 GB RAM, 128 GTB expandable storage up to 2TB and 3280mAh battery.
The phone uses Sirin Lab forked version of Android 8.1, called Sirin OS, it also includes Sirin Labs Cyber Protection Suite. Thee protection suite comes with 3 step authentication, safe communications, and a behaviourally based intrusion prevention system to keep the cryptocurrency safe in the account.
The Finney was unveiled in May last year and will be available in November after pre-ordering now. Seeing the growing trend of Cryptocurrency the company decided to manufacture such a phone.
HTC is another company which is planning to announce a blockchain smartphone, the HTC Exodus but it is due to come out for sale in Q3 2018, but there is not much information about it.
If this phone becomes popular among the user, it seems that this will be the next type of phone which every major phone company will be manufacturing.
