UPSC Civil Services 2018 Main Exams on 28 September - Timetable Released

UPSC Civil Services 2018 Mains Exam Timetable has been released by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on its authorized website, upsc.gov.in. The UPSC Civil Services 2018 Main Exam will be conducted from 28 September 2018 onwards.

The prelims exam for UPSC was conducted earlier in this month and exactly after the 2 weeks of it, now USPS has released the timetable for mains exam.

Although the result for the prelims has not been announced. The candidates with the score of 66 minimum marks will be shortlisted for the mains exam.

UPSC Civil Services 2018 Main Exam Timetable is given below

  1. Paper 1(essay) – 28 September- will be conducted from 9 am to 12 pm
  2. Paper 2 (general Studies 1 – 29 September- will be conducted from 9 am to 12 pm
  3. Paper 3: General Studies-2 – 29 September -will be conducted from 2 pm to 5 pm
  4. Paper 4: General Studies-4 – 30 September- will be conducted from 9 am to 12 pm
  5. Paper 5: General Studies-4 – 30 September -will be conducted from 9 am to 12 pm
  6. Paper-A: Indian Language – 6 October- will be conducted from 9 am to 12 pm

Optional languages

UPSC

UPSC is authorized to conduct the civil service exam every year in 3 stages. 3 stages are a Preliminary exam, mains exam, and an interview. The exam is conducted to select best officers for Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and Indian Foreign Service (IFS).

This year the prelims exam was held in two shifts in different centers across the country. Civil service 2018 prelims were conducted on June 3, 2018, in 73 centers all over the country. The result of prelims is expected to be announced in the July 2018.

USPC is considered as one the most prestigious and difficult exam to crack. Paper 2 of prelims was more difficult than that of 2017 and some candidates took to social media mentioning that the paper 1 was one of the toughest in last seven years of UPSC prelims exam.
