Our Admirable Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the first phase of Delhi-Meerut expressway on May 27, 2018.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the first leg of the Delhi-Meerut Expressway. The possible cost of the whole project is around 4975.17 crore. National Democratic Alliance has successfully been able to bring the country in the glorious direction.

Actually, the total length of the Delhi-Meerut Expressway project is 82 km and the first 27.74 km will be 14-laned whereas the remaining will be a 6-lane expressway. The project has four segments including Nizamuddin Bridge to UP Border, UP Border to Dasna, Dasna to Hapur, and Hapur to Meerut.

The Delhi-Meerut Expressway is considered to be the first expressway which has dedicated bicycle tracks stretching almost 28km between Delhi and Dasna.

In the inaugural speech of Eastern Peripheral Expressway, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inclined to say that ‘You gave us a huge mandate four years ago. Your presence in massive numbers today proves that we have been able to give the right direction to the country’.

The Delhi-Meerut Expressway is likely to provide much faster and safer connectivity between Meerut and Delhi and will also connect with Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

He inaugurated the 9-km stretch of the Delhi-Meerut Expressway and a roadshow was performed in opening ceremony Delhi on Sunday. Prime Minister believes that these two expressways are designed to reduce the pollution as well as the traffic jams in Delhi. According to him, almost 30 percent of the vehicles that enter Delhi will get diverted to the expressway which will surely result in declining vehicle pollution.

He added, “We have constructed 28,000 km of national highways (NHs) at a cost of `3 lakh crore. The per day construction of NHs, which was 12 km per day four years ago, has increased to 27 km,” he added. “Not only highways, our government have increased the railway network and are building capacity in the aviation sector along with waterways.”

We feel that this glorious attempt of new Delhi-Meerut Expressway is an exemplary construction will drive us to absolute sovereign.
