Indian rowers won a gold and two bronze medals in an exceptional start to the 6th day of the competition at the 18th Asian Games in Palembang, created a historical event.
Hosts Indonesia (6:20.58) and Thailand (6:22.41) were placed 2nd and 3rd respectively in the quadruple sculls.
The team has Sawarn Singh, Dattu Bhokanal, Om Prakash, and Sukhmeet Singh clocked 6:17.13 and bagged a gold medal to India in Men’s quadruple sculls.

The account was opened by the Dushyant who won bronze in men’s Lightweight Single Sculls. Dushyant, who had been declared the best rower in the 2013 National Championships, finished the third on the podium with a timing of 7.18.76.
Then followed another bronze by Rohit Kumar and Bhagwan Singh who finished third in the Men’s Lightweight Double Sculls. Following that, the Indian team won gold in men’s Quadruple Sculls and added one more gold to India’s Pandora Box.
