On Wednesday, at the conference, Google announced to release its hardware security keys known as “Titan Security Key”.

The initiative is to protect companies and individuals from malware-ridden drives, an email phishing scams. In recent years, Equifax, eBay, JP Morgan Chase, Yahoo and many companies have been hacked.

What is Titan Security Key?

The Titan Security Key is a physical device that can be used to enhance the online security. It works quite similar to the products offered by Yubico and it also supplies two-step verification for safeguarding data on the online platform and other services against phishing attacks.

This Google hardware key has two variants. One with the Bluetooth support can be connected to Smartphone, while the other with USB support directly plugs into the USB port of the computer.

“Titan Security Key gives you even more peace of mind that your accounts are protected, with assurance from Google of the integrity of the physical key,” Jennifer Lin, Product Management Director, Google Cloud said in a statement.

Advantages of Titan Security Key

With the launch of this new product, users can take advantage of Google’s Advanced Protection Program that protects Users’ personal accounts by practicing series of measures which includes – a physical security key, limiting Google Apps and restrict third-party apps and in addition, verification of Users’ identity during the account recovery process.

The Titan Security Key would cost you around $20 or $25. It is worthy to buy because the device would protect you from illegal and corrupted activities.
