Google has recently launched the latest feature for Android device users in India. Now Android users can browse the web even without Internet connection. The feature is introduced for India as well as some other countries.
“Today, we’re introducing another way for Chrome on Android users in India, along with more than 100 countries including Nigeria, Indonesia, and Brazil, to surf the web with Chrome on Android devices – even without a constant internet connection. When you’re connected to free, unmetered WiFi, Chrome will automatically download relevant articles, based on what content is most popular in your location,” said Amanda Boss, Product Manager, Offline Chrome for Android.
No Internet Required to Surf Chrome on Android
Besides Internet browsing, all the downloaded content can also be viewed without an Internet connection. The articles and relevant information will be downloaded automatically for later viewing when no Internet connection is available.
Chrome without an Internet connection will be made accessible in around 100 countries like India, Nigeria, Indonesia, and Brazil.
“It can be frustrating and hard to access the web when you lose connectivity or spend days disconnected. Spotty connectivity shouldn’t stop us from accessing our favourite sites to get information, whether it’s recent news or the latest cricket results,” explained Amanda Boss.
Users will have to update or download the latest version of chrome from Google Play store in order to use this exclusive feature.
This feature sounds interesting, right? Now you don’t have to care about bad signal or no Internet connection at all. You can still find all the useful information without Wi-Fi or an active data connection.
